Well, the child I wrote about in my last two posts was put in ISS for four days today! My P went and pulled him from class first thing this morning. I also talked to one of his teachers from last year, and basically, he had repeated 6th grade, and both times as a 6th grader, he came really close to being reassigned to the alternative school. We've just started back for the year, and I've had a week with my new classes.  While I'm used to teaching kids with learning difficulties and those from 'at-risk' backgrounds, I have a new student in my Year 11 class this year that I have no idea how to approach.
